If your Sprint phone supports Sprint international roaming, you can use it in 45 countries, but not in the majority of Europe, Asia, Africa, or Australia. If you are going to a country not in their list of 45 countries, you have to rent or buy a GSM world phone from them, as well as purchase a Sprint SIM card. Sprint's roaming rates are pretty simple: Canada is $0.65 per minute, Mexico is $1.00 per minute, and everywhere else in the world is a flat $1.50 per minute for inbound and outbound calls wherever they have roaming service.
In almost all cases, RangeRoamer is a more affordable solution. Also, the more you talk, the more the savings will accumulate.

These are CONSERVATIVE EXAMPLES. Why do we say that? If you choose to buy a phone instead of rent a phone, our phones are $95 cheaper than Sprint phones; therefore, you could add another $40 in savings to these scenarios (since we already included $55 for rental, and if you bought, you wouldn't need to rent anymore so you could put that towards the purchase of a phone.)
